read the codes to see why my baby flashes a light on the dash once in a blue moon. not looking to reprogram, change or mess with anything, just read and reset codes.

got a plug in unit on ebay, but its the wrong one and won't connect.

can someone please link me to a unit or cable on there that works on a 56 plate octy vrs tdi, as I just don't know. cheap and cheerful that would be compatible. I have seen just cables on there going for nearly £200, pleas tell me its not them
