Fitting oil pressure gauge

Featured Replies

Help needed, fitting pressure gauge but not sure when sensor needs to screw into, are there any pictures out there showing the area or hole it needs to be fitted in to. Electrical part is ok just struggling with mechanical part...

There's a useful bung you can use on top of the oil filter housing - number 10:

That's a great help, just need to locate it in the engine bay, guessing its towards the front. And like most things a bitch to get at !

Yep right at the front under the intake manifold and small plastic engine cover. Not that bad to get to, though I recall I installed my oil temp sensor there mostly by feel :)

4mm allen key i think you need to get it out

Not fitted them yet, but took a quick look down that area. Would I be right in thinking the blanking screw as a hex/Allen key type fitting in the top and very shinny.

Managed to fit boost gauge and voltmeter but time beat me on oil pressure gauge and the fact not 100% sure which screw and its a total ass to get at. Leave it for a warmer day

If you still have all secondary air system in place it will be alot harder. With mine removed it was straight forward. Just ordered 3 Prosport gauges myself. Look forward to fitting them next weekend.

No not removed yet. The pro sports look good I went for white/green. White in day time green when I put lights on. The green is a bit bright tho.
