Check around the bottom of your doors for worn paint!

Featured Replies

Following on from the rust thread, I checked mine and found a few areas where the blue paint was black, it seemed to be worn although I could'nt feel anything. The paint is almost non existant in some places as its so thin. I touched it up with some Paint4U mix. I think its an area that can be missed, I'll go round the bottom of each door with some degreaser and soft brush to make it easier to spot anything.

Welcome to my world!!

Still havent shaken off that tin worm eh Skoda.

Mines in next week to look at the paint on the rear arches. Last car was a focus with 80k on it and perfect paint work. This one has 6k on it and the paint just fails off when being hose piped.

My vRS is coming up 3 years old soon and has paint flaking off from under the front spoiler and also a bit on the front bumper at the edge of the flat area where the number plate goes. Previously had a bit of flaky paint on my Volvo V70 rear bumper.

Sarge.
