Featured Replies

hi all i got fab vrs already done fmic air filter and exhaust now lookin to map it but i think i may aswell go dow n the pd150 maybe 150hybrid route will i need a smf or can i get a better dmf i heard of people using dmf with hybrid turbos bit gettin the mapper to limit the torque to make it safe but in my eyes thats pointless if u hybrid the turbo u surely want all u can from it what you guys suggest thanks.

If you want to go all out then get a smf.

Helix have good reviews on here. The cost however I'm not sure of, wont be cheap tho that's for sure.

I suggest you learn some punctuation please. That hurts my head to read.

Ha sorry didnt realise i was in a english lesson. Anyways will uprated dmf not be upto the job i hear that single mass makes the car drive completly different and not to nice how true that is i not sure

I’m currently running one sold by Jabbasports apparently good for 410lb/ft.

Abused it when running shark stage 1 with no problems. Now running it on a stage 2 and it has enough "grip" to spin in 3rd (50 - 60) so is obviosly putting the power out into the wheels.

I suspect it will wear out eventually though, but I don’t launch the car so hoping to get away with it for a while and save up for a single mass.

It's not so much a English lesson, juts makes your posts easier to read. Anyway, if you want to run full power map on a hybrid turbo then no a dmf will not cope for very long. I cant say I'v heard anyone using a "uprated DMF" do you have a link to what your referring to? A smf does change the "feel" of the car, revs much easier and revs drop quicker, noisier at lower speeds and idle. Gives it a more hardcore feel I guess, whether or not that "makes the car drive completely different and not to nice" is personal opinion I guess, maybe get someone to take you for a spin in a car with one fitted. Personally I love it!

Oh ok thanks for that well i guess single mass it is then like u say may as well do it properly and go all out if goin the hybrid route. Will the dmf i have now be fine on a mapped pd150 turbo non hybrid and will it make the 190/200bhp mark i want

A brand spanking new dmf lasted only 20k on my hybrid pd150 fabia at a measly 195bhp and 300lb/ft

A smf and uprated clutch makes the car far nicer to drive imo

Ok thanks so to reach the 200bhp mark u need a hybrid 150 or will i achieve it on a normal 150 turbo not hybrid. Smf it is....

as quoted above with corrections>>

HaHa, sorry didnt realise i was in a english lesson. Anyway, will an uprated dmf not be upto the job? I hear that a single mass makes the car drive completly different and not too nice. How true that is, im not sure.

You may be able to hit 200 on a standard pd150, however the turbo will be running in its very limits. It will not give much more. If you was to run a hybrid pd150, you could run it at 200 easily. + with the hybrid if you wanted more at a later date you already have a capable turbo unlike a standard pd150. Hope this helps.
