felicia tail gait lever

Featured Replies

hi guys when you pull the tailgate lever should the boot spring open slighty as to speak because mine doesnt ,if i keep the lever pulled someone can open the boot from the back but if i let go of the lever the boot locks again is this normal or has a spring weakened cheers nigel.

Our Fabia does exactly the same & it's a real pain when you're on your own!

Suspect it just needs a bit of adjustment at the release end coupled with periodic lubrication ;)

When you let go the handle, tailgate stays unlocked without raising.

You have to adjust the locking eye and cable position.

The cable at the tailgate end can be loosened/tightened to suit. Also, I found that I needed to bend certain parts of the striking plate with pliers. It still isn't quite right, but make sure when you pull the release lever you press it straight back down as it won't shut properly otherwise without you realising. Hope that helps pal.
