Weird issue with my fabia

Featured Replies

Hi, wonder if anyone can offer any advice?

sorry for the long story but i want to explain properly.

Took my car to the tyre dealership to get some new tyres, whilst on the forecourt one of the chaps from the garage came over so i put the key in, turned ignition on opened window and turned ignition off and removed key. I then did the same again.

When i then went to start the car it struggled to start and the rev counter went very slowly from 0 to 10 (the first big increment, cant remember if its 1 or 10). So turned it off and started it again, it did it again. When i got home i sat on the drive for about 5 mins with engine running, the rev counter was going up and down until the car nearly stalled. After about 5 mins it was fine and now starts ok and seems to be ok.

So my question, is what i did the way to trigger an ecu relearn or is it something else?

How did it drive?

Drove as normal

Check on here to see who has VCDS in your area, get the car checked for faults.

Is there anywhere i need to look to see who has vcds in Spalding?

I'd be inclined to check the battery and associated connections.
