How easy is a DIY service?

Featured Replies

hey as im new to fabias.. and wanting to give my fab a mini service (oil change, all filters changed) was just wondering weather its an easy task for the likes of me..

help and advice appriciated :)

How would you describe your technical ability with assembling furniture? If you are handy enough with basic DIY with spanners and the such then yeah its not bad at all. There are youtube videos explaining how to do it. :)

The only thing I struggled with was the fuel filter, otherwise its all pretty basic stuff for anyone careful with a few basic tools.

i work in steel works so for ever got a rachets or somthing in my hand, iv a fair idea of doing it just about the confidence..

Sounds like you'll be having the head gasket out and changed before you know it...

It's easy to do basic work yourself, oil and filters, plugs, discs and pads etc. You'll only need basic tools and a little common sense but a Haynes could be useful to refer back to.
