Any tweaks on VAGCOM worth doing on VRS?

Featured Replies

newbie69,

the photos were and example of going out trying sticky tyres on yumps and bends where the steering did not feel better with less assistance.

On Motorways and the Autobahn i find the vRS just flows and grips, and finger tip light on the steering suits, but again thats maybe down to tyres.

Feeling that you have more trust in the tyres by having more weight in Electric Assistance steering does not actually give them more traction or stop them breaking away, actually can give a false sense of confidence IMO.

I agree that one must be dangerous if he judges the car's limits by the weight of the wheel. But as I said, I don't do crazy fast driving in the vRS, neither before nor after I changed the assistance level. I believe we all agree that 90-100 mph in a vRS on the highway is pretty expected and certainly not going beyond the limits of control, traction, braking etc. etc. of the car.

I think of it like wearing better shoes when you go jogging. It will just feel better, you won't suddenly start running for longer or faster than you can. Or at least you shouldn't...

Can anyone tell me how to activate the lights to come on for example 30 seconds after you unlock the car or lock it after switching the engine off.. is there a sequence to do in the car, or is it done by VCDS as i've got it and do a few tweaks.. just couldn't find it within the menus?!

Give me 1 week and I will have a solution.

You can't just program it :-).

Can you switch off that ******* 'ping' when the outside temperature falls to four degrees?

It still gives me a fright every time - going to end up having either a coronary or an accident.
