what do I need to fit this?

Featured Replies

I'd email the seller and ask about fitting kits as nothing is mentioned in the listing.

It's probably 'generic' though.

I'd guess you'll need to wire it to the fuseboard for power and to the HU loom, but I can't see how it would effect the CANbus / battery drain issue.

as above, you'd need a switched live (find one in the fuse box and use a fuse tap) then a way to link it to the headunit. Not a clue how its going to do that though as the stream has no aux on the back, just one in the arm rest

The 'Stream' doesn't have an 'Aux in' at all. The 'Stream MP3' does - hence why people want these.

Read this to add circuits to the fuseboard, and this for the pin assignments on the VAG quad lock connectors.

A SOT (Sound on Top) cable will connect this to the back of your stereo -they are available from pretty much all car audio places -you will need one specifically for your car to convert it to ISO connections and are usually about Β£15

Should drop straight into another octavia.

Parrot mki range does the same thing as the motorola -usb, ipod and 3.5 phono line in plus Bluetooth There are 3 models in the range: one with no screen at all, one with a monochrome screen (blue OLED) and one with a colour LCD. You might pick up a bargain on eBay.

I have the middle range mki9100 with the OLED screen and it's fine
