Octavia III Scout?

Bloody hell!

mate!.

(for the benefit of our antidipodian cousins)

Aw come-on now. Don't get your Aussies and Kiwi's mixed up. For reference, it's the Kiwi's who take-over the underground on Feb 6th.

I would like that German "rough road" spec = raised with underbelly protection on sensible tyres on normal rims

all for 180 euro

Thats a No-brainer

I had to buy a Scout to get it. Not that I regret that, but the rear leg-room in the Superb would have been superb.

Since I cannot afford a chauffer I fail to appreciate the legroom in the back.

and since wor 6' plus Son is away at uni , he baint in the back either.

Our dogs would appreciate the extra room but it is otherwise irrelevant.

an the big bugger o a Superb be harder to park in these congested Isles.

Forget the chauffeur. Try putting a baby capsule in one and then sitting in the seat in front.

Is that some kind of self contained baby crash capsule survival unit for driving in the great New Zealand outback.

Or dammit is that Australia??

I keep getting younz lot confuzed.

My petty revenge for being continually called "Irish"

Sniff!

If they were, they wouldn't be much bigger.

Yeah, I only get mistaken for Irish when I've been drinking.

Through Europe I got asked for directions in London, I was asked question in French in France, German in Germany and Czech in Czech. So clearly I can fit in and look like a local anywhere.

Is that to say the Germans in Germany, the French in France and the Czech's in CZ all asked you for London directions, whilst still in Germany, France and the Cezch Republic, in their mother tongues.

How very odd

No, because that would be odd.

Looks very good to me side on, although I expect it will have more Scout-ey wheels and the front end detailing is a bit odd.

Looks good to me, I'd be happy with that.

I will come back to fuel tank point on an all terain car, here is a short list for you:

Passat Alltrack 70l

Skoda Superb 2 with Rough Road package 60l/(65l vented diesel)

Audi Allroad 75l (thats a £115 extra, standard tank is 65 ltrs)

Subaru Legacy Outback 65l

Skoda Octavia 2 Scout 60l

Skoda Octavia 3 50l

Just got back from skiing and of course the Geneva Motor Show. They had a super cool red estate with black wheels and dechrome which approximates to a vRS and reminded me of how Audis were before bling became the norm.

Guy on the stand reckoned the Scout could be about 4 months away - but maybe he thought I was referring to a (v)RS. Best (most realistic) car in the show for me, with Duster Destination a close second.
