Columbus & MDI Option

Featured Replies

My dealer assured me it's included although I'm not sure it will be much use around here.

It will depend on your local topography but also how good the aerial and dab receiver module are.

A good aerial can make an enormous difference to the overall performance.

Brochure February 2013, page 22 states it's included.

This where I got my info from. I quote 'Columbus satellite navigation with DAB radio'

I don't think it could be any clearer.

I'm highly surprised that the newly added MDI option isn't standard on the L&K now.

Seems a bit tight from Skoda that they don't include this accessory on a top of the range model. Come to think if it, I think the MDI comes as standard on just about every other model BUT the Yeti doesn't it?

Also odd that the electric driver's seat is not an option on the L&K: clearly, a top-of-the-range model for Skoda does not mean every available option!

Agreed the electric front seat would have been a good option.

Personally I'd like to steer clear of the electric chair :giggle:

My understanding is that it allows incremental adjustments? I do find that the standard seat adjustment can be a little course.

As I'm moving from a manual to the dsg I'm hoping that I can adjust more for comfort than clutch operation?

You can indeed. M'lady needs the seat quite a lot further forward than I do, but I find that I'm a lot less fussy about my particular 'notch' now that I'm only using the loud pedal

Thanks for the confirmation.

The manual chair doesn't have the range of movement available that the electric chair has. The back as well as the front can be adjusted, which for me makes a massive difference, even though I only use my right foot as well.

It also has better lumbar support, up and down as well as in and out.

(Now where is Bob the dog when you want him )
