Hyundai ix35 SUV

I like it - we've just got rid of my mam's old-style Kia Sportage (Sportage and ix35/Tuscon are the same car) and it was a good motor. - wouldn't suggest the 1.7 engine tho - it wont pull your pom pom off in the size of the motor.

If you go for the Kia version, you can have MORE POWER!

Build quality wasnt as good as the Skoda tho. Wife has a 5 and a bit year old Cee'd and has had no mechanical failures (still under warranty until October 2014!)

Hi Al

thanks for that ,we are looking for something a bit higher to help me get in and out with my bad back the fact the i35 had heated seats in the back was a plus but will keep looking for now.

I've had 5 Kia's over the last 7 years (very high mileage driver) and I can put hand on heart that I have had no issues at all, I looked at the IX35 when last changing my own car, delivery time was an issue so i bought a Mits ASX 4WD 4 - biggest mistake I ever made, terrible car and engine, wish I had bought the Hyundai or Kia Sportage and waited.

BTW if you think the 1.7 is underpowered try a 1.5 Qashqai!!! looking forward to improved performance from the 1.6 Superb.............

hi Steve

i like the sport age but with all the toys it came out bit pricey for me the i35 premium comes with lots of toys as standard only need to add sat-nav.

Can understand Bill, my dad has just got rid of his Lexus IS250 F-Sport because he and Mum could no longer get out of the immense bucket seats together with how low it was. Lovely seats but even I struggled!

He's gone back to Land Rover and a Freelander II with all the toys.

I'm sure the presenter said "135BHP" - that alone would put me off in a car that size. The alleged and actual fuel consumption figures are miles apart, suggesting that it's nowhere near as economic as your current car. I suspect that the rear camera is an option because the actual view out of the back is so poor. Not for me, that's for sure, so please don't leave it to me in your will if you get one! :)

Thats exactly what i intended to do ray, with a clause in the will that you must not sell the car for at least two years and must be used every day.oh and by the way the car has 185 HP
