Hi all,

I'm trying to find a Maxidot display to have it retro-fitted in my facelift Octavia Vrs 2009, but can only seem to find it with KMH and not MPH. Without going to the stealers, does anyone know the proper part number and where i could souce one from please? The CarsEquipment.cz website appears to have gone down for the last few days for some reason.

I already have the button indicator and wiper stalks fitted on my car so hopefully it should be a relatively easy swap over hopefully. I'll be paying to have it done though !!

No reply from Skodateile? They have a part I can't find on any other site but their registration seems to be offline as is their basket system.

I had a reply from Skoda Teile about a different part a couple of days back so Ales is definitely there.

Oh, and I've heard on here that second-hand clusters are much harder to code for your car than if you buy a brand new one. Just something to consider if you're going to the scrappies.

If you get a second hand cluster try and get the key or the emobaliser chip at least with it. As its the maxidot that stores imobaliser coding. So with out the key its a pain to code imobaliser in.

Just an observation -- I bought my preFL maxidot cluster from Skodateile 12 months ago. I e-mailed them 3 or 4 times without any reply, then sent another one which was translated into Czech with Google translate. I had a reply within 3 hours.

Once ordered, the service was second to none, Ales sorting everything out really well,and the cluster arriving from the Czech Republic to the UK in 5 days.

When I got my steering wheel I had to do it by bank transfer. Ales gave me relevant details. Was a bit nervous about it but there was no problem. Like Mike, I found service excellent and parts were with me in a few days.
