Trading the Mk1 Vrs for the Monte Carlo on Monday.

Featured Replies

Well, the time has come & the Vrs is being replaced by the M/Carlo on Monday or Tuesday.

Any tips/prompts that you can suggest will be well received! The only extras specified are a spare wheel, side protective strips & a spare wheel..which I note - means that I lose the puncture repair kit when I've obviously paid for it? Have others who have requested & paid for a spare lost their kit also?

I'm really confused over the Sat-nav....am I to understand that you have to put the cd in with the mapping on...take it out to play music...put it back in to navigate again? this is my 3rd Skoda & the others have retained the mapping on a hard disc? Advice requested on the latest map cd update please.

I also thought that Maxidot was part of the Sat-nav package...is this no longer the case?

Thanks in advance for guidance.

You will still get the puncture kit. Well we did no harm in asking if it isn't in the boot as you've paid for it. Make sure you've got a toolkit in there too. Got them to set if you want auto locking or one click opening. Can't help on sat nav not got that

Oh don't forget to ask for mdi cable as it won't be in there and the dealer is to supply one

I think its downloaded from disc as apose left in it :/ sadly i have a kenwood unit so not sure

Hi,

if the spare is a factory fit then no you do not get the puncture repair kit or compressor. If however your car was already built and in the system and the dealer is supply kit as an addition you should get both.

Maxidot is only available as a stand alone option or with bluetooth. Sadly it's not included with the satnav.

Not sure but I'm under the impression with the latest Amunden you don't have to keep changing discs once the nav software is installed, try the manual;

Enjoy the new motor,

TP

I have the Amundsen Sat Nav in mine and you don't need a CD in there to use it. I don't have a CD in the pack of books from the dealer so I'm guessing it gets plugged in at the dealers for updates.

Hope you enjoy your new car, I certainly enjoy mine :happy:
