Will it fit as a replacement for the normal T10 bulb in the headlights

sku_51372_1.jpg

here is the link to it http://dx.com/p/t10-...ir-dc-12v-51372

There are some dimensions specified there but i can't figure them out.

Also what bulbs are in the reading lights at the back door and in the boot?

Those would fit as there's nowt limiting the length of the bulb apart from the lens which is a long way from the bulb holder. Dunno if it's different for xenon headlights tho

Well i got normal halogen lights so guess i'll order those.

Reading lights at the back door?

Reading lights in the centre are 1 X 43mm Festoon in the middle, and 2 X 501 bulbs (doubt those you have shown will fit). Number plate lights are also 501 bulbs (again, doubt those will fit). The footwell lights on the bottoms of the doors are 38mm Festoon, and the bootlights are 43mm Festoons. I warn you though, the bootlights don't seem to be much of an upgrade. In fact, with a loaded boot, I can see LESS now I have fitted the LED lights in mine.

Just to add, I'm always a little wary whenever these things specify 12V as their rated voltage. Vehicle systems run between 13.8 and 14.4V normally. All the cheap LED's I tried years back never did have much of a lifespan, due to this.

I meant the ones above the rear doors. I assumed that those are reading lights.

Ones above the rear doors? Are you sure you're in the correct Octavia section?

If not, you might want to disregard everything I just posted. I haven't looked in the MkII's Octy's.

I'm pretty sure im in the right place. Don't think it's mk2 seeing that its from 2000. :p I'll take a pic when i get home from work to show you what i'm talking about.

:wonder:

Rear interior lights in a MkI... Okay, now I'm jealous! :sun:

It is possible to fit reading lights from a golf 4 or a Passat above the rest doors

My elegance has these as standard :-)

Rear reading lights on both sides (near the grab handles) were standard on the Mark I Elegance - mine has them!

Damn, I hate you all!

Really flippin' dark in the back of mine when my lad is trying to clip his seatbelt in.

In short mate yes they should fit!

Don't be too jealous, they don't come on with the doors open you have to manually put them on and off.

Rear lighting is poor in the octavia though.

I got these ones for mine out of a mk3 Astra that a friend was weighing in for scrap so pulled them out and wired them in,they have on/off/door positions on the switch so can't complain for free

I could sort that easily enough. ;)
