let me start by saying hello to all the skoda people out there. i am a forum virgin so please be gentle.

right here goes. i have just got myself a fabia monte carlo 12 plate and i love the little beast. this is only a small problem but still if you could help at all i would be eternally grateful.....now i believe that the monte carlo's windscreen is a little smaller from top to bottom than previous fabias so when i use the ratchet seat adjuster to put my seat fully down i feel a little too high still....i am 6ft 4 tall after all....is there anything i can possibly do to get the seat a couple more inches down or is it something i need to get used to.

i look forward to your response

regards

pauld

I doubt there is anything you can do.

I have had this problem in my last few cars. I'm 6' 6".

In the Seat Cordoba we had my eye level was basically level with the rear view mirror so it obscured my view out the screen.

If I put the seat down too far there wasn't enough room for my legs.

The Octavia is the only car I have owned where I can put the seat all the way down, not have it pushed right back and not have my line of sight level with the mirror.

Hello Paul :hi:

I'm 6'4" too and am regularly surprised at how many cars I simply can't drive because of legroom or headroom issues. Can't offer any helpful advice though apart from drastic action to the seat frame, or replacing the seat with one that's a bit lower.

I've just taken mine down to Skoda for a service today and sat in a Yeti while I was there. I could get in, but wouldn't be able to drive it comfortably as there isn't enough legroom for me. I quite like Yeti's too :(

Not tried sitting in a Yeti.

Had a Seat Ibiza FR 1.6 TDI the other week.

That was a truely awful and uncomfortable driving position.

Felt very detached from the driving experience due to the position I had the seat etc in.

Can't believe I've owned cars like an old L reg Polo coupe and Skoda Felicia... they must have been really cramped but never really put much thought into it! lol

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome

Have you tried the following -

Tilt the back of the seat by 1/4 - 1/2 turn, you may need to take the base forwatd 1 notch ti compensate, as it appears youre either Long body/short legs or vice versa
