boot opening

Featured Replies

if I drop someone off and the engine is running, they cannot get bags out of the boot without me switching off and pressing boot release on the fob.

surely there is a way to open the boot with the engine running? I cannot find a release button in the cabin though...

Think it's a safety thing to prevent a) Exhaust fumes entering the cabin and B) You accidentally running someone over who is standing behind you and if it isn't it should be!!

You can press the "unlock" button which is down by the cup holders. You can also turn the auto-lock off through VCDS. I understand it is fitted to prevent car jacking... but it can be a real PITA at times.

of course, what a prat! if the passenger door is unlocked with the double fob press the boot will open. if not, the unlock button does the trick. cheers for that!
