Leaking Power Steering Rack

Featured Replies

I have an '08 plate 1.4TDi with a power steering rack leak. I am fairly useful with a socket set and managed to remove the n/s inner wheel arch so I could refill the reservoir with CHF (this looked the easier option than disconnecting and removing the battery & battery tray, etc) and I also put in a stop-leak additive, praying for a cure!

If this doesn't work, can I replace/repair the seals within the rack or must I change the whole rack to effect a repair?

Any info is greatly appreciated..cheers folks :)
