for all Octy 1 owners finally good news.

I picked up today NEW FABIA BADGE FROM FEBRUAR 2013, and did try it without sticking the adhesive tape

1. IT FITS PERFECTLY IN FRONT GRILE

2. IT FITS PERFECTLY AT THE TRUNK AND CAN BE CENTERED.

Obviously it is smaller than new badge from Octy II

I first checked in ETKA if Fabia has the same front and rear>:YES,

Than I checked if Fabia had the same size like Octy I: YES.

Than I ordered one and today after testing it on the car i oredered second one to have whole kit.

Pics and part number from box to came when uploaded to photobucket.

Just wonted to share this info.

Here in Croati by Porsche dealer. I picked it today among some other stuff and didn't get to pay, will do tomorrow or next week. Than I can say exactly. They all know me and I did spend there a fortune so I have some privileges hehehe

Anmd here are the pics as I promissed

same diameter as old Octy 1 badge

sits perfectly on the trunk, no excess convexity, sits flat

front grille with Citigo/Rapid badge, and new Fabia aside

Fabia ones sitting in the calup, only slightly more convex than needed in the middle, but extra double side adhesiv tape in the middle and no probs

Its back side-THAT'S WHAT WE ALL HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR, ISN'T IT SO GUYS!!!????

• so I will immediatelly order front one to see if it sits flatter in the grille, so no extra tape needed.

Hmmmm, tempted. I'm curious to know what these badges look like on a matt blacked grille...

Look really good, really into the OEM+ look. I've got to go to the skoda dealer next week so think a couple of these will be in order

No offence to pasty boy but they were ok. Nothing special. Now these are available there is no comparrison. The oem badges are by far better looking and sturdier.

Will be off to tps in the morning for some for the fabia

Latest update to NEW FABIA BADGE.

I just got my front one

it is 9cm one and

IT IS NO GO FOR FRONT GRILLE ON OCTAVIA

IT MAYBE USEFULL ON THE TRUNK DUE TO THE 2 PIN STYLE, BUT CAN'T CHECK THAT RIGHT NOW BECAUE I'VE ALREADY STICKED REAR ONE.

Main difference to is that ony smaller rear badge chrome part can't be dissasembled becaused clips are glued and on bigger one can, only clips without glue.

Will check if that bigger one fill fit trunk to in perfect manner as rear one, and in that case I will dismantle it and put some black glossy 3M film on that black plastic to look nicer with my pearl black paint.

Why did you buy a different badge for the front? The standard Skoda badges on the Mk1 are the same front and rear.

Please be so kind and read my posts carefully. It seems to me like you didn't red it at all. Eberything is already written but for you only:because new fabia rear badge has to much convexity to sit perfectly in front grile place, it jas tje right diamrter but to much curved. So I went for new fabia front one to. It is to big but jas teo horisontal pins that makes it good choice for trunk installation. Unfortunatelly I already glied my new rear fabia badge-couldn't wait and now.I can't test new front one regarding convexity fit on trunk. It might also be a good chooce for all MK2 OCTY because of ease of centering with two hirisontal pins instwad of 3 from citigo or rapid. That should be its main use. Will check on trunk of octy 1 in junk jard if it sits perfectly and share it here as I already did for all citigo and rapid ones. Hope this did satisfy you. Regards

I orderd one of the rear ones the dealer said it didnt show on there system but are going to try to get the part anyway as i had the part no, will wait and see if they can get it .

as you can se it is also as the rear one glued on the back-pins of the chrome parts can't be dismantled without to much of damage-regarding putting some film on that black plastic background as I did already with Citigo and Rapid ones.
