Oil Temp in Maxidot

Featured Replies

I had digital oil temp display in the MFD on my maxidot (along with avg mpg, distance, time etc) before my car went in for first service, and now - after the service - it has disappeared!

Any idea how I get it back?

It's in the set up menu where you can choose by selecting the check box the options that you'd like to see.

So Main menu > Set up > MFD and then check the options you'd like the OBC to show.

Hope this helps!

Have you gone from variable to fixed servicing?

Im sure some Yeti owners have commented that when on fixed servicing you loose the oil temp display.

Yes, I was one of them but jonny5ive put it back for me via VCDS - despite the dealers saying it wasn't possible :)

Just had my car serviced today and flicking through my maxi dot I've also lost my oil temp.

Why would changing from variable to fixed servicing make a difference?

Think it's because the oil temp sensor is used to help determine when your car needs servicing on the variable but on the fixed it's switched off, though as above I've seen it can be switched back on by either the dealer or someone who knows what they are doing wifh a VCDS.

Aha, makes sense. Just one less thing to look at now.

If you do want it I remember someone on the forum explaing what the dealer needed to do/what code to use etc to switch it back on which I thought was brill! Customer tells Skoda 'technician' how to do it. Class!
