vrs tfsi traction problem

Featured Replies

hi not sure if people are expieriencing this but my 2006 vrs tfsi just struggles to put the power down when moving off car just skids and esp in the wet?

**** tyres?

They all do it, huge weight transfer and 4x4 suspension height don't help the octy. Lower it, and better tyres will help but never cure the issue.

Probably tyres. I've never found it that bad unless really booting out of a junction. It's all in the right foot.

yeah im am going to lower it so hopefully that helps out a bit.

I'm getting major traction issues in 4th on a dry road at most points in the rev range. Hopefully new tyres and a salt free road will help.

K04 is still damn good fun though.

Lower it, stiffer engine mounts, better tyres, diff. Should all help a bit.

I won't be lowering mine, I like the ride the way it is. I have a full set of THS engine mounts on the way and I'm getting sone Michelin PS3's. Hopefully that'll help as I'm hot taking the gearbox to bits again for the LSD.

Anti lift kit helps a lot.

Not in the wet!

How much is the anti lift kit?

get yourself some Goodyear Asymetric 2 Tyres... no traction issues and don't even need to lower it
