2010octy tfsi or tsi?

Featured Replies

Certainly dont write the CR diesel off; yes there is no arguing that the TSi is overall faster and a bit more enjoyable to punt along but in standard form there is little in it point to point and the diesel is much more economical. Also the better bet for retaining residual value; itll be easier to sell down the line. Common Rail cars dont suffer the horrifying DPF problems that the earlier PD (pumpe duse -VAGs proprietary injection system) did; however ive had a PD and CR car with DPFs and neither ever gave me a problem.

Also worth noting that its known for a DSG equipped diesel to break 0-60 in just under 7 secs using the DSGs launch control function.

Daz, around 15k so right on the cusp of diesel or petrol?

Cheers for the info pips, I usually keep the cars for a few years so no doubt it will be worth nothing when I come to sell it!

I've got 7 seconds dead in the dry twice using launch control, very impressed :-)

Just don't do it often, although being wet clutch helps!
