Seen one of these before? Bluetooth unit?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Picked up my first Octavia ii yesterday and wondered if anyone recognises this?

Look forward to your responses

Do you know or are you testing us?

It's the Skoda Blue Connect Bluetooth module. (IIRC that's what it's called.)

Microphone & speak in one box. Only needs wiring to a power source as it doesn't connect to any stereo unit.

Hi,

Sorry, it wasn't meant to appear so cryptic. I had no idea what it was just knew it wasn't the sunglasses holder in the owners manual. Really appreciate the fast response.

Better start searching the net for some sort of documentation.

Cheers,

Greg

And a simple summary (including phone compatubility) with downloadable user guides for both generations.

Now that is just showing off!

Thank you though, really appreciate you looking out those docs. I managed to find a pretty cringe-worthy YouTube that goes through the features, after a few giggles I've got the minimum setup sorted and it seems ok, not sure I'd have been too happy if I'd spent £300 on it though... But it came with the car and it works with my phone so I'm happy.

Seems to link into the stereo too, certainly mutes it when making and receiving calls so that's good too.

Thanks again.

(Think its time to get some subs paid, well impressed with the responses I've had on the forum so far)

We (most of us) try to help where we can.

Hope the BlueConnect works out for you. I hadn't twigged that it will need to link to the stereo to mute it...

Wonder if it downloads a phone book, displays that on the HU or has voice dialling? (As you can tell, I've not read the manuals!)
