Airbag light on permanently

Featured Replies

Just tonight this started. I have had a look around under the seats and no sign of lose connections.

The car will be in the garage on Wednesday for other work, but i am curious as to what the usual suspects could be.

Would any part of the airbag system make a sort of whirring/ disengaging sound when the car is switched of if not operating properly or on the way out? I ask because for the past few months my car has made a noise (which i thought sounded like a relay) once switched off for about 12 seconds and then stops completely. the noise seems to be coming from the front middle of the car (behind the dash area).

Thanks

Airbag light is commonly caused by the connectors under the seats, don't just have to be 'loose', they can fail when apparently 'fully connected.

Audi's fix is a couple of scotch locks....!

Even if the cable is reconnected / wobbled to make the connection, the fault needs clearing from the ECU with VCDS. :)
