Down-pipe question

Featured Replies

Will it be an mot failer if I just cut out my cat from my down pipe??? Fabia vrs

From what I understand, and this could be wrong...

The cat is not tested on a diesel, but its presense is checked.

So if you have the insides cut out and it looks like there is a cat then its ok. If you replace it with a pipe and the tester notices/cares then it fails.

Nope, its not needed, nor is its presence checked.
