Morning had a Fabia for a week, I get an awful lot of road noise in the cabin even when free wheeling!

More worrying is the grumble, rumble grinding noise from the back end sounds like dry bearings, only done 120 miles any advise?

Hi,

I read and replied to your post in 'introduce yourself', just read your recent reply there..

Best really to post in the Fabia 2 section. More of the Fabia 2 owners might see the question.

Have you read the Owners Manual about 'running in',?

Your Discs/pads, Drums/shoes are new and need a good 500 miles or so on them,

hand brake cable is tight etc.

Tyres are very new and need to settle, need the correct pressure in.

* But if there is a fault the car needs checked to see it is safe, so if you do not know, call the Dealer,

get them to collect it, If you do not feel safe to drive it to them,

or call Skoda assist.*

Have you checked the tyre pressures to see how they were set?

Have you checked the tightness of the wheel nuts for too tight or not tight enough.

(you could check that the Jack etc is in the boot,

then if you can, safely jack up the car and see if the wheel turns freely and without noise.,

only if you know what you are doing or looking for,

other wise get the Dealer to do it.)

all the best with it.

Thanks George, taking car to dealer tomorrow as got snowed in before couldn't get there.

I was just collecting as much info as possible before I see the dealer, the brake problem isn't that important, the noise in the cabin is though!

Couldn't find Fabia forum.

Thanks again for your valuable input.
