I binned my JOM's for a set of AP's and the car's a joy to drive again.

I was reading your thread before and saw that, think it may be the way to go!

That's cheap! They are £455 from them now.

Mine were £450 from dpm. They aren't listed at the moment tho:(

which bushes do you lube mate?

...If this thread was the plot to a Carry On flim... :giggle:

I have KW V1 Basics. These were just under £500, in the grand scheme of things they are about as "budget" as I'd go tbh. While I can understand people not wanting to spend 30% of the cars value on coilovers but at the same time they're not parts you can skimp on, drastically changing how the car drives.

Mine have done 25,000 miles, no squeaks, rise well etc etc. My mate has done 70,000 miles on his V2s over the past 5 years again with no issues. Personal choice depending on how long you plan to keep the car but I'd rather spend £1000 + fitting once on a decent set than £200 + fitting every other year.

Well I've just had the wheel off to have a look and there's oil all over the shock and springs so it would appear the seals have gone!!

I purchased them through DPM performance back in June / July last year and they came with 12 months warranty - does anybody know of the warranty is with DPM or FK themselves.

For any one reading do not buy FK coilovers they are ******* ****!

Warranty will be through dpm mate

Great stuff, I did try and call them at 5.15 but no guess they'd shut early will call them in the morning hopefully it can be sorted but they will still be coming off the car - I'm not going to let the others fail on me.

Are FK lowing springs any good or just s@*t.

In wouldn't touch their **** with a barge pole again. I've learnt the hard way - I didn't have the money at the time to get decent ones as I'd just bought the car but now I'm paying for it lol.

Get eibach or H&R springs mate. My mate has H&R springs on his and it looks good! 30 mm makes a big difference!

The warranty is with FK but you just need to go through us and we'll sort it out for you.

Damian @ DPM Performance

Oh dear, a tad worrying as I have FK highsport coilovers on my car. :-(

Hope you get it resolved ok Dan.

Damian is being a big help :) cannot thank him enough. Still going ahead with the warranty claim.

But also ordered a set of AP coilovers from Damian, they are the ones I should have bought originally :)

Would never buy coilovers, a good spring and damper set up will handle much better in my opinion.

Your not competing in the touring cars here.

I totally agree however I dont want to be limited to just 40mm of lowering. The adjustability and the fact they go lower is why I purchased them :)

Ive just had a thought - what drop links do I need for the APs? standard ones or shorter ones?

standard ones will be fine
