Just poped into the dealers to view the Octavia 3. Was considering a Superb with the vat reduction. It took me an hour to decide but Ordered the Octavia, with Bi Xenon and race blue metalic paint. Was surprised to get a very good P/X for my )ctavia 2 FL.

Have to wait now 12-14 weeks OH happy days.

They certainly do, that'll be my start point with my dealer.

I tried that earlier Dodgy and got nowhere near at my local dealer, they did offer £1,500 off a 2.0 Tdi 150ps Eleg but that is still more than a grand short of what carfile are offering. Looks like a Mondeo for me folks, in 2.2Tdci Titanium X Sport Nav 200 ps, fully loaded with less than 5k on the clock for £19.5k, thats an eyewatering 10k off list price!

Try a dealer in Mansfield, they are carfiles supplying dealer!

Just email Carfile and they'll put you in touch with Rainworths but I found that other dealers will match them

I've gone for race blue with ivory full leather although I also think it looks very nice in white and that ll save you some more money. I'm sure Oliver will look after you

Been googling race blue pics, my 6 yr old daughter has approved it, sod the wifey! Black alcantara for me though but goin to splash out on winter pack, 18" alloys, park assist, bendy fogs and a spare wheel!

You could try Lambs in Chesterfield, I gave up on Bickertons years ago, never been offered a good deal by them. I am on my 5th Octavia now and used to give them a chance to quote, the last time was few years ago now and the salesman's attitude to my wife made us walk out and drive to Chesterfield where we did the deal and placed the order. About six weeks later my wife answered the phone and it was the salesman asking if we were still interested in the Skoda, it gave here great pleasure in telling him I was outside washing the new one.

Jammy git! I still am semi miffed about race blue going out as a standard model colour now :wonder: but does still look the business after all! Sod the Ford indeed, know a couple of people with the titanium x sport 200 TDCI thing not overly impressed with bits of trim missing on a brand new car in boot etc and a few niggles for warranty to sort that were just Leyland style quality control issues IMO.

Enjoy new motor when it arrives and be sure to take LOTS of pics for us please.
