Standard Player with AMP & SUB?

Featured Replies

Ive just bought a MK1 Octavia VRS- Chuffed to bits!!

I gave the interior a good hoover and clean today, and found that the previous owner has installed a Sub and Amp in boot at some stage as he has left all the wires in.

Currently I have the standard tape deck with 6 CD Changer, and dont really have the funds to change it just yet.

Question is, with the wiring already installed, can I connect a sub and amp to the standard tape deck??

Any help appreciated.

what wires are left?

OEM units very rarely have RCA leads so the previous owner will have either had a different headunit in or used another method. This would be using a processor or using a converter which is done by cutting into the rear speaker cables.

So, if you want to leave the oem unit in you will, as mentioned above, need to use a rca converter of some kind if there isnt one there already
