Wheel spacers (small ones)

Featured Replies

I'm looking at a set of wheels and think I'm gonna need spacers. They're 17" 7.5 wide, ET35. Ideally I think I'll need another 5-10mm on that. Now I dont have much knowledge about these, I ran adapters with D90s for a while but they were obviously bolt to the hub then bolt the wheels to the adapter.

A few questions. Firstly, am I going to be able to fit 5mm or 10mm spacers and just use longer bolts? Anyone got experience of reputable makes for spacers and bolts? They are aftermarket wheels so I'll need tapered bolts. Whats the standard bolt thread length?

Secondly, I've heard of people having wheel wobble when running them before, anyone running them had this issue?

Lastly, I know I'll sound stupid here, but are the bolt through ones threaded? Or just holes? :D

Cheers guys!

I would say anything up to 5mm then standard bolts or even some longer ones would be fine. For 10mm you'd need to be looking at hubcentric bolt through ones.

Bolt through spacers are just holes.

Wheel wobble normally only comes from the Universal ones as they dont sit central to the hub, meaning one part of the wheel could be heavier than the other (if that makes sense)

Have a look on well spaced out, they will custom make spacers to your requirements if you email them - perfect for 5mm ones. Think they are about £20 a set of 4.

ive got some 9.5 mm mate so should be fine £12 delivered

and they use standard bolts too

Creation Motorsport is where I'll be getting mine from. 10mm hubcentric with extended bolts for 50quid. They have good reviews on Scottishvag and ukmkivs
