Access to turbo oil feed.....

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

So I replaced my turbo around a month ago, found one of the copper banjo bolt washers on the floor once I had finished it which was great.......

It has not leaked at all until 3 days ago, and now it's coming out quite quick. Totally my fault.

I am gonna tackle it on Saturday, but what is the best way to go about it? Some of the golf guys have said to leave the turbo bolted to the block and down pipe and remove the exhaust manifold to gain access to the oil feed without having to move / disconnect to much from the turbo.

Does this seem like a plan? Really don't want to more or less remove the turbo again as it was a nightmare doing it on my own when I fitted it.

Thanks in advance guys!

Any ideas?

Isn't the oil feed a long thin black feeder pipe from the front of the engine? Certainly on my diesel it is like, and as such I would have thought that either end could be undone to fit this missing washer. or am I missing something more obvious?

Yeah just get the manifold off and your have access to the oil feed from the top,
