I have a new Pipewerx downpipe coming today and wondered wether it would be advantageous to wrap in it some exhaust wrap?

Heat wrap always helps

When you fit it Mae sure you soak it in water first and fit wet so when dries becomes a really nice tight fit :-)

Waters gets under the wrap, slowly rotts the steel away, you won't be any the wiser untill you remove the wrap or its rotten through and sounds like a tractor , personal experience that lol!

My mate has a full miltek system inc manifold on his fezzy ST150. He heat wrapped the manifold and decat. After a year or so it started to fray badly and you could see where it was keeping the water trapped in once he took it off.

Don't think it should affect stainless steel though should it?
