VRS vs VTEC

Featured Replies

Morning all :hi:

Recently purchased a 59 plate Octavia VRS after traded in my A4 avant derv burner & so far very impressed - just need this snow to melt so I can enjoy a decent drive !

Looking forward to exploring this site & hopefully this will be the car that replaces my ATR......which I still miss 3 yrs on.

Welcome! I've had 3 CTRs in the last 9 years and I've never found anything to make me smile like the VTEC did, my Impreza came close but just love the noise the of the (i)VTEC. I converted to the oil burning darkside about 3 years ago and can't see me returning to a petrol car, unless the fuel price drops to below £1 a litre which is never going to happen :(

welcome mate, I just bought a TSI VRS on Friday too. Absolutely loving it especially with the DSG box

I miss my vtec rush also =[

Im searching for an octavia vRS to replace my civic which died of rust...

Indeed, VTEC is very addictive. The ATR was a real wolf in sheeps clothing, a proper drivers car !

Looking forward to spending some quality time with the VRS - Thanks for the warm welcome.

The thing I craved the most is the old school honda vtec's

When they hit vtec they go with a crack and a poof of black smoke from a rich mixture, all you can say then is "see you later"

But the smell is so so so addictive, best moment off my life I was following 6 Ek9 CTR's and a couple of Integra's, coming onto the slip road they all booted it at the same time, the noise and smell made me somewhat weak at the knee's

Once I get this 2.3 crx built, ill bring it to a meet and take a few out
