The swear filter is there for a reason

Yeah mines just started doing this! Very annoying isnt it....

I think its the control module for the windows, im pretty sure there is one for drivers side, and one for passangers side. Could swear that Ive read somewhere, that they are around £100 to replace the part.....

or it could be something in the way of the glass, check the rubbers are fitted properly and there is nothing in the way - it is a safety measure so it doesn't chop your head off if it is in the way!

Do you have wind deflectors fitted? If so remove them and refit.

no wind deflectors it seemed to start one morning i went out to start me car to warm it up was standing for about 15mins , abs light was on traction controll light and no power steering turned off engine and wouldnt start battery was dead, bumped it and all was fine its done this a couple of times now , came up with a fault for a altinator switch of some wort since then its done it very annoying

Have you tried the reset procedure for the stopping positions? It goes:

  1. Turn the key in the lock of the driver door into the closing position and hold it there until all of the windows are closed.
  2. Release the key.
  3. Insert the key again and turn it into the closing position for about 3 seconds.

mine does this now and again it once even put the windows down on the car when it was locked in a car park .... i read some where that its water getting in to the electrics in the door carrier
