Traded in the vRS estate...

Featured Replies

For a 1.2 tsi 105 Elegance Rapid :)

6 speed manual with lots of toys.

Wife wasn't getting on with the fabia and dsg so gone for the rapid instead if another fabia or octy 2.

Having a baby in June so still needed space and dealer did a cracking deal on a rapid - got sport seats, 17'' wheels and privacy glass on top of the elegance spec.

Savings are immense, won't be as fast but I have got to grow up anyway with little one coming :)

do give us some pics and a reveiw when you get it :)

Will do - looking at 1-2 weeks as its just arrive in port! :)

I have gloss black dash trims, floor mats and rubber boot mat to suit your new vrs estate sharky :)

Could have gone for diesel Fabia Elegance estate, VAT and interest free, and then got Shark to remap it - best of all worlds :)

Looked diesel wise but we do town work mostly and my tech advised against it due to dpf and then higher price seeing as I do 6-8k miles a year.

Should anybody want genuine carpet mats, rubber boot liner and gloss black interior trims (dash pod, air vents and gear surround) let me know before I stick the up in the for sale section.

She's gone! :(

Sad and happy day, the vRS has gone and been replaced with a more grown up and family based car - enter the Rapid! :)

Looks pretty cool with 17'' wheels, privacy glass and fogs/honeycomb grill. Sports seats are dead comfy and supportive.

Will get some pics up soon :)

It will indeed. Should imagine it will be for sale in a week or two.

I like the sharp styling - back to the original mk1 vRS looks I think.

Yeah, shall look forward to a few bigger engines. vRS engined one soon ;)

Have you posted up any pics of the Rapide yet? Let us all know when you have please, id like to see some of it.

Just been out for a 30 mile drive in the Rapid, various roads etc - damn it rides well! Very comfy despite riding on the same profile tyres as the vRS...

  • Author

No not really :)

I took mine to the dealer and the master tech took the whole unit out then I took the surround off after.

Ok thanks much appreciated :D

Why? :D

Why indeed - mostly so we can live the life we live now albeit with a slower car :)
