Just seen this using autotrader app on my phone. Not sure where it is, but it's 80 miles from TS8 area.

Private sale

Must be an error!

Its a scam, sure someone on here has covered this type of advert on the trader before but can't find it.

its a scam, and someone will fall for it unless the advert is pulled by Autotrader first.

Contact details in photos means that the account has been hijacked, never ever respond to an autotrader or pistonheads advert such as these.

There is no car for sale, and those pictures are of a car that the supposed seller has no connection with.

I suggest that the advert is reported, so hopefully autotrader pull it before someone is conned.

I was just browsing autotrader last night at daft o clock cos I was bored. Never seen an ad like it before, I just assumed they had missed a leading zero from the price.

More likely a 1 than a zero?

Or a 1 even!!!

Been up since 6am with the kids so not really with it at the moment!!

i saw loads of adverts like this when i was looking back in october/november.

Saw A3 SE tdi170's for 3k, facelift vrs's for about 4k and plenty of other cars the same aswell. I really should have reported each ad when i saw them but i'd be spending all day reporting ads rather than looking for a car my self lol

Sadly its amazing how many people fall for this ...

Real people travel hundreds of miles , pockets full of cash hoping to bag a £20,000 car for a few grand

Meeting some man at a mystery location and hand over money for a stolen car

Pure greed and im sorry but it serves them right!

it really is amazing how many people fall for it as you say.

If you know how much a car is worth and you see one for way less than half that sure it should ring alarm bells

I've never seen that sort of payment instruction on ebay before.

Wouldn't trust that as far as i could throw it!

Looks like he is bypassing ebay and going direct to PayPal payment, thus avoiding the ebay selling charges.

As he only has 3 (dodgy) reviews in last month I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

Reported the VRS ad as a scam. Very easy to do.
