Clock Auto Change To BST.

Featured Replies

Had to manualy adjust the clock 1 hour forward to BST this morning even though the auto change option is ticked on the Maxidot.

Does this function work for anyone else?.Can not remember it working last year.

Autochange? I thought it was just and on/off switch...

On/off switch for what?.The manual is not a great help either.

Have you tried checking the box as it is now British Summer Time? It should turn on the BST time. In October you can turn it off again! :giggle:

Yes,sussed it out now,the daylight save time box is ticked and is showing BST,untick the box and the clock reverts back to GMT.

Not very sophisticated adjusting the maxidot setting for BST/GMT - it's just as quick manually adjusting the clock!! You would think in this day and age it would auto-adjust.

Since the car has no idea what the date is, it has no way of knowing where the BST/GMT switches are. The Columbus knows what the date is, assuming you have set it of course, but that is used for internal GPS data only.

I had an old after-market head unit in a Honda CRX that used RDS data to get the time; I never had to set or adjust the time as it got the data off of the radio signal. No date needed.
