404bhp, not bad from a 1.9 pd engine.

Featured Replies

It was in performance vw magazine, thought it was worth sharing with you lot. Have a quick peek when your next in tesco or whatever, it's on the front cover saying 400bhp+ inside it says around 300bhp at the crank.

I'm really impressed with this. It goes to show what diesel is capable of these days.

It's probs got a 100 shot of nitrous so that's why they put 400bhp on the front to attract people's attention to the article only to find out its only 300 haha. Anyway all that power and it can't even be bloody used proper cause it's that low to the ground......

it doesn't have 404bhp. it's most probably on air

Compond turbo setup. Running two turbos. Bullseye s247 for low down power and a gtb2056 for top end

and a gtb2056 for top end

Seems a bit small for the top-end turbo? Surely they would have used something a bit beefier?

I'm pretty sure 100 shot nitrous wouldn't give 100 bhp it's not really 100 shot equals 100 bhp etc.

I've got most if not all of the above and a better turbo/nozzles setup, so why am I hovering around 300bhp? :D

Boost Leak?

You clearly don't possess one of these, Jase

I had I look but couldn't find that. Even at 350 bhp it should be quite nippy!

Like I say, not my car or my figures, just letting all you haters know about it :)

I didn't realise that disbelieving the 'facts' of something made one a 'hater'

'Doubter' maybe, but not a 'hater'

Well, I can only assume the GTB2056vk combined in sequence with the S247 turbo, "compound" to produce a lot more performance than one would expect from a GTB2056vk on its own. :) I'll keep on the doubters bench until I see a dyno / video of a quarter mile or similar. :) Definitely not a hater as its clearly a highly tuned TDI - I love that! I just want to see more. :)

Dunno if this is relevant

Different car (in build thread too) - I am familiar with this one from TDIclub, and it does haul ass thanks to using compound turbos, one of which is MASSIVE! :D

Ahhh don't it to heart! It wasn't aimed at anybody, just pointing out how every thread claiming big bhp gets replies saying how impossible it must be cos they have a fmic, hybrid and shark map...

This one just seemed abit different, and shows what can be done when really... Money isn't an option! might be some dyno print outs in next months issue :)

Looks like my turbo should be being tweaked in the next week or so, then on to some big mapping, but I'm claiming nothing until I've been on a dyno :D
