Vrs new signature colour!

Featured Replies

That Simpsons FB page also suggests a new "white" being available too.

Perhaps a metallic white rather than the flat Candy White

  • That was a bit uncalled for, Alan :(

  • couldn't give a monkeys that you can get other spec octavias in race blue, the Vrs is too different to the other models to get mixed up. as dodgy said, some people are getting a bit chucking the toys

  • The watering down of the vRS is when they put that tractor engine in it !

Yes, I think it all depends on what shade of yellow, green and grey. If they stick to the previous yellow and green then...I'm out

It's a shame it's not like a battleship grey like the RS+!

Just minus the yellow wheels

SWMBO won't be able to get it in the white unless it's has a ivory tint. :giggle:

I like the ...er...um..blow up doll accessory in the background...wonder if you get an extra can of tyre filler in the deal!

Quite like the idea of grey, I remember people being very excited when anthracite was first available on the vRS. Getting a slightly cooler reception now for some reason.

Grey car with yellow alloys? Did they stab at the option sheet randomly when ordering that one?!

At least it's not hearing aid brown....

As much as I love the A5, this photo just makes it look goofy!

The colour is really smart, not sure if VAG have certain colours that are the same name across the brand?

YES YES YES - Non metallic grey coming to a vRS near you!

Exclusively for Fabia RS and Fabia Monte Carlo will be newly available and non-metallic gray Steel.

As we were all wondering the exclusive colour - and from reading the article I know it says Fabia but... it will be the 3rd exclusive colour :)

That may be a translation error, as steel grey is already available on the octy and is metallic; however it is not available on the Fabia VRS or monty.

Yes, it is... but why would they say its a new colour... and Non Metallic.

I'm not sure, but maybe because its new to those two models. It would seem very strange to call it the same as a colour that already exists.

Not a translation error, it does say "non-metallic"

Can't quite imagine what that will look like though. I guess it will still have a bit of shine to it.

true, but do we know what the current UK "steel" colour is called in Czech?

just checked. there isn't a "steel grey" on the new octy, and the old "steel" looks just like the new "platin'

mind you, that's based on the UK website and we all know how accurate that is.

Steel grey and platin grey are the same, just different names. Platin is European, steel is uk.

It'll be similar to a primed ready car I recon! - but finished like normall paint. :)

That's good to know - I was a bit confused... Thinking I had ordered Steel Grey!

If it was a Matte grey, that'd be bloody awesome, but I think you're getting your hopes up only to be let down. Even if it is non metallic, it'll still have a clear lacquer and be shiny just like every other non metallic Skoda does.

Satin finish maybe? Starting to see a few top end cars in it (like the M-series BMWs).

Flat Grey reminds me of a 1960's Austin Cambridge.

Not have any bother shifting my one then if they're going to be an exclusive colour which is good news.

I would love to see what one would look like in the met brown you can get on the current VW Transporters, that is a nice colour. Never thought I would say I liked a brown motor lol.
