Vrs new signature colour!

Featured Replies

Why would blue be out, it could be a matt blue, heavely metalic, pearl. at the end of the day who's to say they will bring out a Octavia vrs only colour. they might think better of it as the green was never a big seller on the mk2. me personly i dont care, if i do order another vrs it will be siver or grey as thats the colours i like.

  • That was a bit uncalled for, Alan :(

  • couldn't give a monkeys that you can get other spec octavias in race blue, the Vrs is too different to the other models to get mixed up. as dodgy said, some people are getting a bit chucking the toys

  • The watering down of the vRS is when they put that tractor engine in it !

:o Run, don't look back just run! :@

I disagree with the Race Blue being released to the 'commoners' :p but if I was buying a standard Octy III it is definitely the colour I would have as it still is a fantastic colour. I can't imagine the likes of the Greenline getting Race Blue though, seems so so wrong in my little head. Flipping shame it is no longer exclusive to the brand in its own right that is the VRS.

You say that, but if they bring out a popular new VRS-only colour then Race Blue will be forgotten in an instant.

I was at local Skoda dealer yesterday, and apparently the new VRS exclusive colour is..............................GREY!

That's what my wife guessed lol

Wasn't the anthracite grey first introduced on a special edition version of the pre face lift mark II vRS?

Sarge.

What engine has your wifes new car got Alan? :giggle:

Yes but that is a 4x4 not a supposedly sports hatch and you cannot have it in petrol in 4x4 guise

But it was a standard colour before that as our elegance is this colour

I'm not convinced about them using grey. It doesn't really stand out.

our elegance in Anthracite too. It's a great colour when it's clean and the sun is shining - but even back in 2010 when we bought it, we suddenly noticed that every other car which wasn't silver was anthracite. Maybe if it's a "NEW" grey it might feel special.

So Simpsons Skoda have just put up on their FB page that only 3 colours will he available in the new vrs.

Sprint yellow

Rallye green

And the vrs exclusive

Meteor grey

It'll be grey for me then (if I can afford one)

There must be more than 3 colours, what about blue, white?

That's a risky strategy.

Both yellow and green are very polarising colours that a lot of people simply won't consider.

That then leaves you with a choice of grey.....

It says there will be three 'vRS only' colours in the new line-up. Crucial difference ;)

Sorry misread. They're the 3 vrs only colours. Its been a tough week

YES! YELLLOW!

But seriously, Grey for a signature sports car...seriously questionable call there.

I know you can't rule out the standard models being made available in Yellow and Green at a later date, but I wouldn't have thought that was likely...so yellow is kind of VRS exclusive too.

EDIT: Ignore, it says it actually is exclusive to the VRS.

Guess they've offered RBM on all mkIIIs for the same reason they offered the devils juice option initially on the vRS-because they'll sell more mkIIIs as a result. Probably got feedback from the dealers to that effect so thought 'why not' Hopefully the mkIII vRS will have a colour all it's own but something classy though! The time I'll start looking for my coat is if they don't and also offer a 'sports pack' so every man and his dog can add a spoiler, big alloys, lowered suspension and bigger brakes to give them a plastic vRS. That would be a step too far IMO

any clues as to what shade of grey the meteor is?

depends on whether you're a fan of the discreet / Q-car thing.

Grey!? FLOL, trying to blend in with all the rep mobiles. :|

Its a Skoda, its never going to be classy.

That's been on Skoda's facebook page - it looks like a standard silver colour to me.

And there's already an Audi Meteor grey, plus the facelift Superb will have it as an option.
