Felicia heater fan carbon brushes

Featured Replies

I need your help again if possible. Carbon brushes from the heater fan are totally gone.

Do you know what is the heigth of brush when is new from shop? Look at image please.

They are hard to find where I live. It is possible to match from another electric power tool? Anybody tried in practice? Carbon brushes must enter perfectly snug in support so otherwise are noisy.

Thanks.

Don't quote mr on that, but my guess about brush height is 12 mm.

Yes, finding new original brushes is a royal PITA, you could find easier Hoffa's body.

I don't know a part number for them, dealers only sell new whole fan motors. Yeah, I know, it sucks.

Have you tried finding a pair in a scrapyard.?

Thanks you for answering. I don't understand what is "royal PITA"?

I believe you call that "???? ? ???????" in Russian

Sadly, that doesn't help you at all. Perhaps other forum members know about some equivalent for brushes.

UTF characters don't show up correctly, even with Lucida Sans Unicode font.

Anybody knows why?

Update: car brushes are made of a harder carbon, so I would not recommend using brushes for power tools.

Sorry for not answering so long ago. Three days ago I put 2 carbon brushes from Skoda 120, just they were 1 mm thicker, but I fine sanded them. My fan is good again :) like nw. I waited to see if brushes are ok and silent. They work good and day by day the noise of motor is down, till they shape on collector. So I payed 2 Euro and didn't buy a new motor for 100.

You can do as I did to save money. Thank you for advice.
