Technical - vRS Cluch and Flywheel.

Featured Replies

My clutch has started to slip on my Fabia VRS I'm a mechanic by trade so no problem with fitting the Clutch but my issue is what to go for, I'm hoping to get the Fabia running abour 230BHP with a lot of Modifications and a nice Re-Map. Recently had a Re-map to 170 using Black Code which we franchise in.

I'm woundering is it best to go with a Kevlar clutch with that sort of power and Solidflywheel or not? If so can someone point me in the right direction on what to buy for these. Maybe a website people have used or kits people have had and worked well and still work fine with little vibration with it being a solid flywheel.

Cheers in Advance

Darksidedevelopments developments and any other Sachs dealers mate, expect to pay around £1,050ish for the kit

Dont waste your time with cheap clutches

Cg, awesome gti, techniclutch,

Even southbend i've read horror storys!

You want a helix clutch and single mass flywheel!

This is all you will need! Phone mardigras motorsport you should get it for £950 delivered!

Tried and tested bit of kit, only choice you have is wether to go for the organic or paddle clutch plate, personally at 230bhp id go organic!

My mates got one on his polo and its coping with 284bhp and 400lbft no problem (paddle)

Search "Tecniclutch review" on Google.

Do not buy a clutch from them, they have some terrible reviews including a couple on Briskoda.

Techniclutch = AVOID

My Sachs SRE from darkside is not even flinching at all with me pushing into the high 200s :) A proper racing clutch not just something tarty claiming to be something it isn't (been there, done that, bought the t-shirt)

Interesting thread, I wonder why its not being covered by warranty if it's only been fitted for 3 months !
