What speed rating of tyre are people using on their Superbs? Can you use a W rating or does it have to be a Y rating?

Unless you intend to drive around at 168mph+ then W should be ok.

However, your insurer may want you to use the tyres that at least match original factory spec for all numbers around the tyre wall.

To be honest though, whenever I've shopped around for tyres I've found W and Y have always been very similarly priced.

I think the "W" rating is standard factory fit so best stick with that.
