Anthracite then, that my vote :)

Black is a nightmare!

Anthracite looks the best especially on black and you also dont need to clean them!

I also find black wheels are that black that the tyre looks almost brown in comparison (naff)

Looks black in the 2nd photo, but isn't actually that dark (just my shoddy photography skills :p)

The ford graphite grey looks very nice. Agree black only looks good when clean. Is there much difference between graphite grey and anthracite?

Mine are matt black on the side of the spokes and inside and it's a pig to clean, as when they're wet you can't really tell where the brake dust is.

I'm tempted to get them re-done in gloss black.

anthracite is very high-luster black to dark gray

Whereas graphite is dull gray

Gloss black is just as bad to clean.

Been there done that !!

So much for that idea then!

Black wheels go grey with dirt/pad dust (eg get lighter)

Silver wheels also go grey (eg get darker - show the dirt the most though, imho)

Grey wheels just go greyer & duller

Silver is a neutral car colour for wheels, so you can get away with any shade from silver through to black imo

have gloss black on a silver car they look good and are sort of ok to clean if you clean them a tad more regularly....they look pants when dirty tho

I have a satin black, just to be different.. Did not like Matt black or gloss.

Dull metallic paint? Isn't that an oxymoron? :D

I thought oxymoron was more of a green grey!?!?!?!?

Haha

Graphite isn't a metal though, its a nonmetallic allotrope of carbon

Its only the lacquer content of metallic paint that makes it overall shiny
