Is this possible?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to put a mk1 engine in a mk2 Octavia?

the non pd version, say the ALH for example?

If so how much work is it, what else would need changing?

EDIT* Diesel engine*

I have a mk1 that really loves running on veggy oil but the PD engine can't take it - hence me asking

I asked in the mk2 section of the forum but the answers weren't helpful at all

like are the engine mounts similar? wouod the gearboxes mate or not etc

Anything is possible :)

Dont think so mate.

A bit of fabrication would be needed.

Just keep the mk1 and tart up the interior?

Dawt youd get your money back oflt the fuel cost savibgs ne way.

Good luck tho as rob said anythings pos but depends on depth of pocket

Plus it also depends if you can get a ridiculous cheap mk2 with a dead engine

Sent from my dad's old HTC Incredible S, not a dodgy s3!
