So I'm guessing you two wouldn't notice that if your car was over fuelling and only doing 20 mpg?

Anyway i asked how much mpg you're getting in the topic. Not do you bother checking

Of course they would notice, the mpg display is right in front of them.

Mate, I think the point is there have already been dozens of threads about mpg and the subject has been done to death.

The vRS will do anything between 25 and 50 mpg,it's hugely dependant on how you drive, far more than most other cars.

Enough said.

18-43mpg all on twisty towns and B-roads in heavy traffic and quite hilly. A little bit of dual carriageway. All depends on driving style and road conditions etc. I only look out of interest and not stress about it at all. Also, if it drops down significantly it is an indication there's somethng wrong with your motor or SWMBO was driving ;)

Full tank on 19603 miles. Ran it to zero on the range, mileage now reads 19834 miles.

Unsure on mpg don't have it active on my maxidot.

231 miles on a full tank?! That's not good, only 23mpg :-(

I've never had 300+ miles from a brimmed tank apart from long distance journeys, £30 on fuel a week doesn't really break the bank, I previously owned a 1991 Honda civic EE b16a1 that used near £50+ a week. Next on the list hopefully a mk4 r32 :-)

I got 331 miles from brimmed to fuel light. Mixture of sensible commute and afternoon blasts just for the hell of it.

My mk1 fab tdi would only give me around 380miles from the same driving. So I'm happy. And anyway, who buys a VRS for economy?

The Monte is for miles, the VRS is for smiles :-)

It costs about 60 quid to fill the furby so I presume you are only doing about 115miles per week? At that low mileage I agree the low mpg doesn't really make a difference to the wallet so fair enough to not worry!

I definitely didn't buy for economy, but then again I didn't buy it for blistering performance either! It's a good compromise car - reasonable pace for sensible running costs at a bargain (vat free) price. I didn't think its unreasonable to expect a half decent mpg out of it. If I was happy with low 20s I'd still be driving my old focus ST lol :-)

Yeah sounds about right 100-150 miles maximum a week dependant on what I'm doing come weekend, I drive four miles to work, four back 6 days a week, fly about here, there & everywhere in the evenings, sometimes during the day then out for a blast Saturday afternoon/Sunday when my weekends are free :-)

I brimmed mine the other day. Done 80 miles so far and its showing i have a range of 425 miles left. Mind you the needle hasn't started going down yet. Squeezed 47 litres of super unleaded in it when i filled it

I put in 38litres and done 294 miles. I always fill up at the same forecourt with Momentum99.

I just fill the tank every 2 weeks and am as happy as Larry!!!

Tony

Last tank was on 330 miles and the light wasn't even on! Gonna be a shock when running in my new vrs and getting lower miles
