Common Boost hesitation issue - CLues?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have small hesitation / boost issue with my car which I think is the N75 / MAF sensor just not 100% and would like confirmation before I start spending money -

I will get a sudden surge of boost when i first accelerate which makes the car feel nice and spritely like it should do, which quickly drops and I lose boost and then comes steadily back through acceleration.

Mainly happens in 1st gear has occassionally happened in second but 1st mainly.

Coilpacks are brand new practically under recall.

THink its N75 but I tried running with the MAF unplugged the other day seemed as though the issue went away but sometimes it doesn't do it so its hard to tell.

Any clues or anybody had the same and fixed it?

I had the same thing you describe. Proper kick in 1st when pulling away. Cleaned TB when had the alternator off and haven't noticed it since.
