Uh-Oh lol

Get your headlights aligned by a proper garage, if you have reflector headlights are you using the bulbs specifically made for reflectors?

I can think of one very obvious way to fix them but you aren't going to like it.

Are they projector lamps or reflectors? never owned one so don't know myself.

Yep :) Seriously if you've fitted HID's to reflectors it doesn't matter if you use R bulbs or not it's still going to give a bad pattern, R bulbs are just slightly less bad.

Oh okay, so doesnt matter about aligning them it wont help?

If not what bulbs should i get?

Have you tried setting them to level 1 or 2 on the switch? I don't get flashed anymore since I aimed them down abit

Ive never been flashed and keep them on the lowest setting.

I tried to put them on those settings but they dont seem to adjust, does that sound like the motors have gone?

Hmm need to test a few things out i guess.

Face other against a wall and then use the switch and you should see it go down. If not probably the motors but thought one would go not both. I'd check wiring to them and see if they are connected properly into the headlight and not actually just spinning

Best thing to do to check would be to park in front of a flat wall at night time, flick through the switch.

EDIT : Beat me to it Kyle_vrs.

The closest thing to 'the white light' i do believe is them Philips Xtreme visions, do some research but its a complete pain in the arse driving down a tight road with a massive white, blue or whatever light shining in your face. Im sure if one was to have a head on collision all the other party would probably have to say is your lights was blinding them, your fault.

Thanks mate i will check tomorrow and ill let you know the outcome

Thanks for all responses :D

You shouldn't be trying to make this adjustment with the in-car adjuster - that's for loads. The unit needs adjusting properly under the bonnet with the load adjuster set to highest. Maybe your beams weren't right originally, but not out enough to cause a problem with dimmer lights. Probably worth getting an MOT garage to do it for you as it won't take them long and they have proper equipment. With H7R bulbs you shouldn't have any trouble with dazzling others. I've had mine in for nearly a year. Very happy that they don't dazzle and have never been flashed, nor had any problem with MOT.

Ah okay well I should of got H7R bulbs is what your saying? What's the difference between them and normal H7?

Thanks

H7Rs have a black strip along one side so that light is not thrown on that part of the reflector and hence not thrown towards the other drivers. You do need these; but they're quite cheap and a simple unplug and swop.
