Pads and discs

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Got the car services yesterday and she'll need some pads and discs next time out, but they quoted a whopping €605 ex labour all round!!

I'm driving a 09 pre FL VRS, I'm based in Ireland but where do you guys get your pads and discs as I'd assume they can be gotten ALOT cheaper than the above!

Cheers

Dave

Got my last lot from Euro Car Parts, I don't know if they have made it to Ireland.

[Edit] Yes they have NI anyway.

I had front disks and pads bought from ECP and fitted for less than Skoda wanted for the supply of the disks only.

If memory serves me correct it was about £100 for pagid 312mm discs and pads from ECP when I got mine.

Not sure about all round but Skoda Main Dealers do the fronts for a fixed £250 and I guess rears will be a little less.

That'll be about right if you use BRISK25 code for the parts.

There seems to be a sizeable price differential between Ireland and the UK - found this on my last car as well, even between Southern Ireland and the North! Someone is bound to be selling some soon :)

try contacting Dave at Sere Motors, they will post and Seat Leon FR brakes are the same as VRS brakes, plus his prices are the best for genuine parts around!

he is on leave at the minute until the 23rd
