So done a couple of bits to the vrs over the week, made it like a bit tidier with a colour coded grill and fitted some AP coilovers tonight, have to say they are amazingly comfy for a non dampening coilover, really impressed with them for the money ! Like how it is sat at the moment but once they have settled it will be a bit lower, probably need to raise it up again.

Is that just with the aps wound half way down as mine are due 2 arrive monday and wondered how low you are? And whats the blue stuff over the threads

Probably taped them up to stop them seizing

its all the way down on the back with the rubber mount on top of the spring, the front is 12 coils up, and yeh it's just electrical tape to stop dirt getting into the threads and seizing them

havent tried springs before, the AP's are excellent thow, obviously a bit stiffer than standard but they do still drive nicely for coilovers

My AP suspension is due to arrive this week, but as i'm a miserable ****** I've ordered the shocks and springs for a 25mm drop through www.performance-360.co.uk as they're local to me.

Will be very interesting to see how they perform, as my JOM's were garbage and the AP coilovers seem to get fantastic reviews!

Without doubt I will, for £236 delivered they seem like the 2nd cheapest solution after JOM and other budget coilovers.

Yeah defo couldn't be doing with that! In my case I'm looking for improved handling, decent ride comfort but not slammed, just a subtle drop!

Same here, just failed MOT so new ball joints and bushings going in at the same time for the same reasons
